Week 52 Weigh-In

Current weight - 235.2 lbs.
This week's gain - 1.4 lbs. (Edit: This was a loss, not gain! Oops!)
Total loss - 82.4 lbs.
Average Calories - 2079
Treadmill - Walked 9.44 miles in 3 hours over 3 days burning 1,466 calories.

I guess you could say that this week went okay. I'm still having a horrible time keeping the food under control. On the bright side, I did get a lot of time in on the treadmill!

I put up a new video on YouTube where I talk about my current motivational issues. You can find it here if you care to watch. Please excuse my squished head in the video. LOL I'm not quite sure what happened with that. :-)

    well done on the loss this week. You said that you're not as angry at yourself as you were before but you can still use other things to motivate yourself - can you wear your wedding rings? sign up for a sporting event, get out some old clothes. Why don't you treat yourself to some new cookbooks or get some recipes on-line if you're fed up with with the food just now. I think you are doing a wonderful job. Good luck.

    Again, it was awesome to see the video! My kids watched it too [Why?? lol] and the dog is too cute! I don't think i could do a video like that as my kids just can't mind their own business..and the cats and dog can't either. The husband would probably be in there too! It would look like the opening shot of The Brady Bunch with everyones head in it lol

    Maybe you could give the weight loss efforts a bit of a rest, and just concentrate on maintaining at this point?

    You've done an awsome job. thought this might help.

    The Man Who Thinks He Can!
    If you think you are beaten, you are;
    If you think you dare not, you don't!
    If you'd like to win, but think you can't,
    It's almost a cinch that you wont.

    If you think you'll lose, you're lost
    For out in the world we find
    Success begins with a fellow's will;
    It's all in the state of mind!

    If you think you're outclassed, you are;
    You've got to think high to rise.
    You've got to be sure of yourself
    before you can win the prize.

    Life's battles don't always go
    To the strongest or fastest man;
    But sooner or later the man who wins
    Is the man who thinks he can!

    Hey girl. I just want you to know how much of an inspiration you have been to me. I have been visiting your blog for a short while now. It amazes me to see someone who is struggling with the same issues as me, but is able to confront the issues on camera to the world. I could never do that. It may be because of the shame and embarassment. I don't know. But I just want you to know that you inspire me. Your words of encouragement for yourself is something I need to do as well. It's hard for me to tell myself, "Hey, you can get through this. Or, Hey, why are you at a standstill? Get moving."

    Anyway, I think you are doing fantastic. Don't look at the numbers. Look at how hard you have worked and how far you have come. What an accomplishment! You can do this! I believe in you. I know you can.
